Compared to European countries and the United States, China's sustainable beauty is still in its infancy. In 2021, China amended its regulations making it possible for some companies to import ordinary cosmetics without the need for animal testing.?In recent years, domestic beauty packaging?companies was?in a state of transition, they gradually started to launch more products that focus on the concepts of sustainability.?

Tube packaging pioneer UDN presented its new one-piece tube (also?an?award winner of LUXEPACK In Green), which reduces resin usage by up to 55%. “This tube cutting the sleeve thickness and integrating the tube head and closure in one component while preserving the functionality of the dispensing closure in the user-friendly package.”?noted sales manager of UDN. Clear packaging specialist Hip Lik Packaging Product Fty Ltd. introduced packaging boxes with 100% post-consumer recycled content that have been certified by SCS Global Services .

MZPACK ?presented their revolutionary PUM biodegradable materials packaging, which uses calcium carbonate (CaCO3) as its main component. Besides, the company added 10% natural materials like lavender, straw, and dendrobe to bottle cap production to reduce plastic usage, which received significant attention on site. “We can increase the content of natural materials to be more eco-friendly, but the cost will be correspondingly higher.”?said marketing manager of MZPACK.
