Three Keys to Connect With Your "Why"
Too often people are aligned with their fear which yields hesitation rather than with their “why” which propels them to action.
Those who take action have a clear vision. They know what they have to do to get what they want. Because they understand the intention behind their actions, they act in spite of fear.
Mark Twain said, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
Do you know your “why”?
Knowing why you were put on this earth has the potential to change you and to change what you do for the better. Think about how different your life would be if you felt emboldened to live out your purpose. Consider what you might be doing with your time.
Imagine the opposite. Without a clear purpose, you wander aimlessly through life searching for meaning. It is as if you are a ship trying to navigate the sea with no compass and no map. Traveling in circles, you make very little progress towards your destination. How many people remain stuck in the unknown and travel through life feeling lost?
If you need help inviting more purpose into your life, start with these three keys to connect with your “why”:
Assess your life: Do you feel happy and fulfilled? Are you on a path that energizes you? Take stock of what is and is not working in your life. The result of your findings could be the motivation you need to make any necessary changes.
Pay attention: Is something nudging you? Do you have an idea that keeps surfacing? All along the way, there are signs and clues. We simply do not see them sometimes. When you pay attention, what is being communicated to you?
Minimize distractions and time wasters: What is zapping your time and energy? When we become burdened and overwhelmed, it is more difficult to connect with what is most important. Make a plan to handle anything that is getting in the way.
Employ these strategies to discover why you are here, and strive to live out your purpose each day. Your life will never be the same and neither will those with whom you come into contact. When you live with passion and energy, you are an infectious bright light. Others want to be around you and feel inspired to uncover their “why”.
Remember, you were created for something special, and you have what it takes to achieve your highest purpose!
