In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, we’re all under pressure to make swift, effective decisions. As we reflect on 2023 and reset for 2024, here’s a straightforward framework to enhance your decision-making process and lead with clarity.
Because making decisions informed by what we know can be hard.?
A staggering 85% of business leaders experience decision distress, often regretting or questioning their choices. This is compounded by an overload of data, making decisions increasingly complex.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, and struggling to prioritise amidst a barrage of demands, you’re not alone. So many of us are being reactive rather than proactive, as we race to keep up with the pressures of our roles and businesses.?
Here’s a three-question framework that is highly effective.?
Ask yourself:?
Identify what’s working well in your business, your team or your organisation. It could be an efficient process, a useful meeting format, or a thriving project.? Ask your team to reflect on this also. Even small things can have a big impact, for example, you might find that having regular meetings with your team members has been important in strengthening relationships and sparking ideas. So this is something worth keeping.?
2.????????????? What can I delete??

What’s no longer serving you, your team, or your business? Are there redundant processes, unnecessary meetings or outdated priorities? Is there a report being written that no one actually reads? Be honest. It might mean letting go of personal projects, which aren’t serving a purpose anymore.?
3.????????????? What could I create?
Deleting things gives you more room to create. Using insights from the first two questions, decide on new priorities and directions. Could you create a new initiative, or could you challenge people to try something new??
This framework can be applied to so many things. To team meetings, projects, events, even personal relationships.?
As we approach 2024, now is the time to get clear on what’s really important for the year ahead. Ask yourself: What to keep, what to delete, and what to create??
It seems simple, but it works.?
Have a go and let me know what you decide to keep, delete and create. I’d love to know.?

It empowers us to live a life that is aligned with our values, passions and aspirations. By intentionally investing in what truly counts for us, we can find greater fulfilment, happiness and a sense of purpose in our daily lives. As we grow and evolve, our priorities may shift and what truly counts for us may change. Regularly reassessing our actions and priorities allows us to adapt and make necessary adjustments along our journey. This process can be challenging but it opens doors for personal growth and the opportunity to create a more enjoyable and purposeful life. From my own experience, it's worthwhile once we are in retirement too. Let's enjoy life and not waste invaluable time and energy.

Focus on what you can do to add value to the lives of those you care about, including yourself, and keep some things that have sentimental value, as we live in a cold and money obsessed world. And back up your data, the hackers are out and they want to extort money from you to give you access to what have and have created and need to function. Don't make it easy for them by working off one copy. All the best this holiday season and if you haven't tried using Chat GPT yet give it a go, Open AI account is free.
