Three Key Principles of Powerful Communication

It's as basic as this. These principles apply equally to written and oral communication, and at the enterprise level, in the professional sphere, and with your near and dear.

1. When I'm the listener, I will listen carefully for intent and for content.

2. Before I begin to speak, I will understand my WHY, WHAT and HOW.

3. When I speak, I will strive to be clear, concise and compelling.

Could it be simpler? Not really, yet most of us, most of the time, get ahead of our skis whether in writing or when presenting.
