A client has three heavily-pedigreed Lola Indycars which are being offered as a package.??The purchaser will own the rarest of the rare – a complete collection of three years of production which includes the only 1965 T80 Lola in existence.?

The sister car to the below-referenced 1966 is being offered at Gooding Monterey, with an estimate of $1M - $1.4M alone.??

1966 Lola T90:??Serial #1 of three produced by the Lola factory. This is the supercharged Offenhhauser-powered car that Rodger Ward drove in the final year of his career.??In it, he placed second at Phoenix and first at Trenton, racing as #24. 1967 Lola T-90 Mark II:??This piece was imported from Lola Cars Ltd. to Mecom Racing Enterprises in the spring of 1967. It was driven by Al Unser Sr. with crew chief George Bignotti. The team qualified 9th for the 1967 Indy 500 and when the checkered flag dropped, Al Unser Sr. had brought the car home to a 2nd place finish. They also finished 2nd at the Langhorne 100 and Phoenix 200 that year. This car was restored to its 1967 Indy livery in 2015.??Powered by the correct Ford four-cam V8.??

1965 Lola T80:??Lola created a brand-new car for Indy racing in 1965.??Three were built; only this car – the Parnelli Jones car – survives.??The car is currently in restoration.??It will cost an additional estimated $200,000 to complete, and all the correct components are available for inspection, including the monocoque tub, correct ZF transmission and correct, freshly built/dyno’d Ford four-cam V8.
