Three Great Reasons To Go Networking
Melanie Wardle
I help businesses demonstrate their knowledge, expertise and personality through my copywriting and copy editing skills. I also collaborate with Hampshire Chamber of Commerce running Chamber Connects, a networking event.
Networking events in September always attract lots of new visitors so if you have been thinking about trying networking for the first time, here are three great reasons why you should come along!
?1. The People!
There are lots of very tangible reasons as to why networking can help your business but as I write this, having not been to any events in August due to being away on my summer break, my overriding feeling is how much I am looking forward to seeing everyone again... because business, especially small business, is so much about the people.
And I know that when I go networking I get back to my office even more motivated to get on with my business, as a direct result of all the great conversations I have had with all the people I met there.
2. Ideas & Inspiration
Sometimes it can be tempting to stay at home rather than go networking, especially if you have the infamous never ending "to-do" list. But please don't!
Successful businesses are always on the look out for ways to improve and grow and conversations at networking events can spark ideas and creativity in a way that sitting alone in your office never can.

3. Develop Your Reputation
You are an expert in your business and something that networking is really great for is enabling you to share that knowledge and develop your reputation. So offer advice, help people out and over time you will become known as an expert in your field... someone people will want to call when they need your services.
If this has inspired you to go networking for the first time why not come along and see us at Coffee and Connect; our next event is at 10am on Wed 6th Sep in Hartley Wintney, RG27 8RQ.
We are a very friendly group and especially welcoming towards new visitors.
