Three Golf Lessons We Can All Use

Like many of you, I play recreational golf and constantly work on my game, always with an eye to improvement. Recently I ran across some interesting quotes from a few of the greats that readily apply to life. Here are three quick "golf lessons."?
From Ted Ray, via?Golf Today:?"Golf is a fascinating game. It has taken me nearly 40 years to discover that I can't play it."?Yes, this is humorous, but the takeaway for me from this multi-time champion is that even the most successful may never achieve their ultimate goals. But you keep trying.?
From Gary Player,?Golf Digest:?"The harder you work, the luckier you get."?This one has always been a favorite of mine because it speaks to the element of luck. Some studies show that those who don't want to work hard to achieve their goals tend to say successful individuals "got all the lucky breaks." And yet, those successful individuals usually say luck played a minor role in their achievements. They "made their own luck" with their hard work. There is a lot of truth to that.?
Last but not least, from Jack Nicklaus,?via In The Zone:?"I'm?a firm believer in the theory that people only do their best at things they truly enjoy. It is difficult to excel at something you don't enjoy."?This one hits home because it speaks to my feelings about my estate planning career.?
My success in helping so many clients over the years protect their assets and loved ones through estate planning is because I genuinely enjoy what I do. I love the law, and I love to help clients. I am in 100% agreement with Mr. Nicklaus.??
