Three Essential Learnings from this Pandemic

Three Essential Learnings from this Pandemic

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 did not only bring a transmissible virus we should all be cautious of, but it has also brought us a new lifelong learning experience. Let us share with you some of it.

1.???Change is constant.

Even before the COVID-19, the online world we now know has existed. Many corporate and educational industries have slowly adapted and integrated it into their daily lives, but not until the pandemic that the world saw a surge in users in the online world. These days, it is entirely normal to start your day from the comfort of a bed or sofa or a beautiful garden with a great view. Meeting your friends and colleagues virtually, buying out your necessities and favorite food with just a few clicks, and many more are what we all learned from this pandemic. Change is inevitable, they say, but the pandemic is living proof that it is unavoidable.?

2.???Your present is not your future.

We have to agree that no one has anticipated the COVID-19, not to mention the effects it brought to us. One morning everything was normal until the news of a virus had spread, and the next thing we knew is we were in a nationwide lockdown, unable to meet our loved ones. Many individuals were stranded in places, several establishments and businesses have struggled, some even shut down, which resulted in thousands of employees being laid off from their jobs.

The saddest thing about this pandemic is that some have lost a loved one. The people we once talked to, shared a laugh, ate with, walked with have been taken by this tragic pandemic. The life we once knew has been thrown out and, we are forced to face a life we are not prepared for - the new normal they call.

Indeed, our present is not our future. What we have right now may not be there tomorrow, so let us all value the people, the experience, the time that we all have right now. We are never sure of what our future will bring us.

3.???Two is always better than one.

We all have heard the saying, it takes two to tango, and the pandemic has taught us this to be true. Ending the COVID-19 is not a one-man's job. We have the shared responsibility of ending this pandemic. We all have our differences, but we are all aiming towards one goal: ending this pandemic.

No matter how well we adjusted to the online world and how well we adapted to the new normal, every one of us still hopes for the day where we can all go back to where we can meet, talk, eat, walk and stand beside the people we love without worrying.
