Three days...a book launch...and A Time for Dying...
Bryce Main
Multi-genre author, mostly Crime fiction. Scottish. Been writing longer than I’ve been wearing big boy’s trousers.
The thing about a book launch is that it screws up your sleeping pattern. Your internal clock goes up the creek…sans paddle.
This morning, my panic-meter headed for the red zone at a fair lick, when I realised that I only had three more sleeps until launch day for my debut crime fiction novel A Time for Dying.
It’s the kind of thing that makes you reach for the incontinence pants.
It's now Monday. We light the blue touch paper on Thursday.
Thursday evening, to be exact. Between 6pm and 7pm. Stockport Central Library. Hosted by my publishers, those nice people at Northodox Press (www.northodoxpress.co.uk to order.)
There will be a reading from the book by yours truly. Plus a Q&A section.
And just in case you haven’t heard…A Time for Dying is about the search, and attempted capture, of a frighteningly dangerous serial killer, by an impressive team of hunters.
Amongst them, is a tough female FBI agent who is also a native American Cherokee, a Jesuit priest, a disabled female police officer, and a dedicated A.I. network called Mother.
And leading them is a jazz-loving, police D.I. who stabs himself voluntarily twice every week.
They’re very unconventional, to say the least. They’re also bloody good at their job.
So… if murder gets your juices flowing, make sure you’re at Stockport Central Library this Thursday, at 6pm.
It would be a crime not to be there…
