US Navy P-8A Poseidon Overruns Runway in Hawaii

A US Navy Boeing P-8A Poseidon, registration 169561, overshot the runway during a landing attempt at Kaneohe Bay MCAS, Hawaii, on November 20, 2023. The incident occurred around 13:59 local time, leading the aircraft to come to a stop in Kaneohe Bay, causing substantial damage but no fatalities among the nine occupants. The aircraft, manufactured in 2020 and powered by CFMI CFM56-7B27E engines, is being investigated for causes, including potential weather factors. Kenya Air Force Helicopter Incident in Wajir

A Mil Mi-17 helicopter belonging to the Kenya Air Force failed to take off and crashed on November 20, 2023, at Buna hospital in Wajir North, Kenya. The aircraft, with registration number 1101, was on a military operation, transporting cargo at the time of the accident. While the helicopter sustained substantial damage, there were no fatalities reported among the occupants. Helicopter Blade Fatality in Garissa

In Masalani, Garissa County, Kenya, a helicopter's tail rotor fatally struck a person during a cargo operation involving the distribution of examination papers. The Eurocopter AS 350B3 Ecureuil, registered under Pro Flight Ltd with the registration number 5Y-HNB, was involved in the incident with minor aircraft damage reported. This accident marks the third helicopter incident in two days in Kenya's North-Eastern region, where helicopters are commonly used for transporting examination papers due to challenging road conditions.
