*(Inspiration) - AI megawatts vs our brain's 12-25 watts.
I found this interesting. AI large language models consume a ton of power on silicon GPU's. Looks like our brains started thinking, there must be a better way. UC Santa Cruz researchers have some custom FPGA's (Field programable gate arrays -- essentially custom tailored silicon chips for a specific job vs floating point graphics processors) that can perform the math for LLMs with very low power. They are aiming for about 13 watts of power on an FPGA. Some great tech to watch as it may help off set large power draws as AI expands.
*(Health/Wealth) - What's wealth without health?
Used to be 225 to 254 lbs and went up/down, ate poorly. Not great #'s at the doc, either.
Last decade or so, been on a journey to clean it all up. I lean more vegetable these days. To the tune of about 80% to 90% vegetarian with some fish or chicken, here or there. Everything in moderation, including moderation. Truth be told, do I add in a couple brats here or there in a year, or maybe a pork barbeque? (may as well be dessert, since I don't have it often), yes. The deal is, I control the food, and the food doesn't control me.
All my #'s are in the green (pun intended?). I hover around the 185lb to 190 lb weight class. I don't have cravings.
Some things that helped me along the journey. Feel free to throw your things that helped in the comments.
Reboot with Joe (juicing, veggies and fruits, not steroids - lol)

Blendtec Blenders
This is what I use instead of a juicer. 750ml of water, fill the rest with veggies (and some fruit if desired), blend, store in re-used water jugs I can wash/re-use, and I freeze the juice I'm not immediately using.
Morning Shake -- in a 20oz Blender bottle
- about 8-12 oz of juiced veggie juice
领英推荐
- about 100grams of Pea protein powder
- about 2/3 of a cup of walmart vanilla greek yogurt, light (more protein, less sugar, best bang for the buck)
- Add water to near top
- Shake it all up, drink. (anything left inside, add a touch more water, shake, drink).
This sets the stage for me with the good stuff, first thing in the am after working out.
What's wealth if you can't go out and do things you'd love to do? Is health in your priorities? Are you running the show? Or is the food running it?
*(Inspiration) - "It's on my bucket list"...
"It's on my bucket list"... What about it's on be get to be living list? Or, go do something I love list? Quality Questions: Am I caught up in the day to day and forgot to go live. Life happens... what if something happens... before you get to your list?
Someone challenged me the other day about getting my knee replaced earlier than the typical 75 years old. Hey, I'd love to make it to a healthy 100 yrs old, but who's to say something or some event doesn't remove me from the planet today? Did I go live? I'd like to do things while I'm here, and that needs an improved knee. I simply chose to go live for 20+ years, instead of suffering not doing the things I aim to go do. 20 years from now, maybe it needs repair. They have emerging tech for that now, think how much better it will be 20 years from now. Funny thing about choices. You're going to benefit and suffer in any and every choice somehow. What's most in line with your values? What you'd love to do. Are you choosing in those directions? Often those will be the most rewarding. Brings us back to a "get to be living list" :)

- Help Train AI, get rewards. Grass is a decentralized network for accessing the public web, and thus accessing the data necessary to train AI models.
- The easiest way to avoid letdowns and disappointments, is...No, it's not lowering your standards. That's quitting. No, it's not releasing expectations. That's an old wives’ tale. And no, it's not relinquishing all mortal desires. That's an ancient religion. It's never tricking yourself into thinking that your happiness is dependent upon the things and events of time and space or what other people think, say, and do. So go ahead, aim high, expect a miracle, and want it all…
