THOUSANDS OF NEEDY CHILDREN AND ORPHANS IN NEW YORK RECEIVE A LARGE BAG FULL OF NEW TOYS AT THIS HOLIDAY PARTY WHICH SERVES AS "THEIR CHRISTMAS"

TOYS for KIDS will be given out on Dec. 19, 2024 7PM as usual at the office of Dr. Kevin Maloney MD, 144 East Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, NY 10543

ST RITA’S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY WAS STARTED BY DR. KEVIN MALONEY MAMARONECK AND HIS WIFE PAULA in 1993 to distribute toys to needy children at Christmas. Seperate from his private practice, Dr. Maloney had founded and funded a free Medical Clinic, St. Rita’s Free Medical Clinic, in Mamaroneck New York about 30 years ago where Dr. Maloney and numerous volunteers of his have treated anyone who can not afford to pay for medical care free of charge, every Friday evening. To teach their 5 sons the value of giving to others who are less fortunate than them and to realize that they were no better than but equal to all others, the Maloney’s had their sons donate and collect toys that they gave out each week to children waiting to be seen at Dr. Maloney’s Free Clinic.

Dr. Maloney soon decided to hold a Christmas Party for his volunteers and the children who were his patients at the Free Clinic. This Christmas party for needy Children and families quickly became a large event in New York. After 9/11 Dr. Maloney agreed to take over the Christmas Party that the City of New York held each year at Grand Central Station.

For 30 years now THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN IN NEED HAVE RECEIVED A LARGE BAG FULL OF NEW TOYS at this Holiday Party. FOR MOST OF THESE CHILDREN, SOME OF THEM ORPHANS-THIS IS THEIR CHRISTMAS!

As you can see in a video taken one year https://lnkd.in/e8fkEVD Dr. Maloney and his volunteers make this party a Christmas Celebration for these children, with Holiday Music echoing through the streets outside of his office, hot chocolate, cookies and candies handed to all children by a fleet of Santa’s helpers lining the streets and waving to all from the windows of Dr. Maloney’s office which is transformed into a magical representation of Santa’s local workshop in New York.

All are welcome to attend this event to se the joy and happiness we all experience each year at this holiday party that brings together people of all races, creed, color social status etc., together as one and equal, an event devoid of the negativity which continues to invade the world we live in today.

As always, this time of year unwrapped Toys are being dropped off and sent to Dr. Maloney’s office by his volunteers, patients from his private practice, from Public and Private Organizations throughout Westchester County and the?New York City Metropolitan Area, and the surrounding Counties of NY and Lower Connecticut.

Saint Rita’s Free Medical Clinic’s Annual Christmas Party is a huge event in New York every December.

Thousands of children and their families line up outside of Dr. Maloney’s every year waiting for “hours” for Santa to arrive with the “TOYS for KIDS”. These are truly families and children in need, standing in the cold for hours, but clearly with joy and laughter as many of you who attend to volunteer or watch this party have witnessed, or from watching photos or videos of this annual holiday event.

Toys and donations as always can be dropped off or sent to Dr. Maloney’s office year round. ALL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THIS COMMUNITY EVENT this year on Friday Evening Dec 23 at 7PM.

St. Rita’s is a free medical clinic where Dr. Kevin Maloney has seen patients for no charge every Friday evening for 27 years until the Covid 19 Pandemic and for safety reasons Dr. Maloney and his staff made the decision to temporarily close the fee clinic and plan to re-open Saint Rita’s this coming January. At?St. Rita’s no patient is ever charged .The clinic is run entirely by volunteers who receive no compensation. Beginning in 2023 again Everyone in need of medical attention who can not afford to pay for medical services is urged to come to St. Rita’s for their care.

Dr. Maloney wants everyone to know that this party exemplifies New York's CHRISTMAS GIFT to those in need.
