A thousand flashes of genius in the age of AI and your claims to immortality: Impressions from movies Dalíland (2023) and Flash of Genius (2008)

AI they say will not just disrupt all existing industries but also aid the genius of people. Is it true or not? Time will tell. But here I am trying to explain in this article what the odds are that we will even be able to go toe to toe against AI from a human perspective. I have already explained a lot in my earlier articles on what the invention of AI has brought upon humanity in the coming calamity and annihilation of human work life and even human existence which many AI experts claim. Again in my earlier articles I have already explained how humanity still has a chance to beat AI in its' own game by throwing away the objective way of thinking that has been imposed upon us since the age of enlightenment 400 or so years ago. AI is the king of objectivity and we humans have simply accepted that we only have objective side until now. McKinsey, one the biggest management consultants in the world has already published a 2023 report on the massive impact of AI on bottom-line as well as jobs status for the knowledge workers. Go check it out if you haven't still seen it, it forecasts the objective annihilation I just explained before.

But we humans are resilient in the face of crisis surely. There were only a few thousand of us left in the last ice age that happened on Earth and from then on we have thrived to become seven billion of us in 2023. Certainly, the prospects for our species in the coming AI future though looking bleak right now, may have hope in the flashes of genius that we humans feel from time to time. That's our general characteristic as humans by the way that I believe not even AI can mimic. Part of our subjective human side that objectivity has used well but never discovered how it arrives to us humans but doesn't arrive to AI.

I watched a movie today called "Flash of Genius" released in 2008 and which gave me a brilliant flash of genius that we humans got to pay attention to the flashes of genius happening around us if we would like to really beat AI at its' own objective game. The movie Flash of genius is about a PhD professor in electrical engineering who with a flash of genius about how the human eye is able to not spill a single tear the whole day and entire lifetime by timing the eye blinking decides to apply a patent for a type of Car windshield wiper which works in a timing principle similar to a human eye. But the big three of Detroit, Michigan in Ford, Chrysler and GM decide to steal from him the idea and don't pay him up for the patents. But then this guy claims in courts and wins the case regarding his flash of genius idea.

This week I also watched Daliland (2023) which was about the Late Salvador Dali an eccentric and famous Painter who gets flashes of genius so often. These flashes of genius inspires and makes his new assistant curious enough to keep on pursuing and noticing how Dali has those flashes of genius while Dali takes his assistance on an inspirational ride to how he receives those flashes of genius through his costume parties, orgies and even his home town so that he paints them into his surrealistic paintings. In time the assistant even after being fired by Dali, decides to start his own art gallery rather than being bitter about what Dali and his wife did to him during his firing.

Watching both these movies, have convinced me that the flashes of genius that I have listened to in the last two months which have made me create atleast 60 business articles, if I listen to everyday very intently, will give me a 1000 more and which is my goal too. I am really intent on listening to my flashes of genius which I get every day even though I have option of searching them in ChatGPT or Google Bard where obviously I won't get those flashes that I clearly know. I am moving towards my own immortality this way, sort of claiming my immortality in this age of AI.

Me and my partners' venture Voyage ride is once again about helping people who would like to be immortal to have those thousand flashes of genius again while riding with us for 21 days in our serendipitous journeys in Mother Earth's wondrous places. I see no other way in this age of AI to really be immortal now without having those thousand flashes of genius that is the sole claim right of us humans and which I believe no AI can copy. If you don't believe it, do watch Daliland and Flash of genius if you would like to see how flashes of genius propels people to immortality.
