First, the Haiku of the Day
River Me and God
River- swift, clear, smooth.
Every bend reveals something.
Alone, I feel God.
Second, what is your purpose? Your why? Why do you exist?
Do you ask yourself these questions? We all have a purpose, but do we ever know what it is?
Or are we living in a self-guided continuum chasing titles, money, and things? Are you making sacrifice after sacrifice so you can retire?

Do you live to work or work to live? These are simple questions that will begin to open your mind to understanding your purpose.
There is a growing belief that knowing our purpose, living a life aligned with it, and fulfilling it are crucial to longevity.
From personal experience, a certain calmness and sense of satisfaction come over you when you discover your true core purpose. I waited way too long to find my purpose. I lived a typical life, with many ups and downs and even more sacrifices, before I got a wake-up call that made me change everything. Don't wait. Start now. Friday is a good day to pause and reflect. Not just on the week, your to-do list, or what's next at work. Take time today and over the weekend to examine your life- past, future, and present (in that order). Then, ask two questions: what did I do, want to do, and am I doing that I am really, really good at? What did I do, want to do, am doing that I truly love?
I am betting these lists, and the process of creating them will be a worthwhile exercise that you can use to find your purpose.
You have begun a journey of self-discovery that will enable you to navigate a more fulfilling and productive life.
