Thoughts

Myriad, eclectic thoughts,

Thoughts that give wings to our ideas, our dreams,

Harboring those dreams, chasing it and making it a reality,

Thoughts of all kind,

Abstruse, blithe, tempestuous, benevolent, zany and some esoteric too,

Some thoughts leave you ruminating, others fester onto you,

Sagacity ensuring you banish such thoughts,

Thoughts allaying your fears, bolstering your faith,

Thoughts that add a spring to your step and gives you the zest,

Thinking of family and friends,

Your phone buzzing, either by a call or a message,

Or the door bell ringing,

By the same person who was on your mind,

Wondering if it is telepathy at work or clairvoyance,

Hearing from an old friend,

Saying you crossed his mind,

Making your drive and day less arduous,

Thoughts have wings,

Reading one’s mind, talking or uttering his thoughts,

Traversing through distances, through infinite kilometers

Thoughts of your loved ones,

Praying for them, altruistic thoughts,

Holding them close to you bosom, revering,

Thoughts you treasure, storing them in your minds’ computer

I look up at the sky,

Breaking all shackles, transcending through cosmos - space and time,

Having many profound conversations with Mom & Dad

Thoughts turning into words,

Writing this poem,

Helping me achieve my dream of writing
