·        EI is not new. People have always been able to detect the presence or absence of it. Successful leaders connect and inspire emotionally. A workforce, positively inspired, is engaged, focused and more likely to deliver on the mission.

·        Despite the growth of automation in the workplace, we’re all still in the “people” business. Building relationships with your teams remains the keystone to effective leadership and meeting objectives.

·        The level of confidence employees place in their leader often mirrors the level of confidence the leader has in his/her self.
