Thoughts are FREE! — Are they?

Thoughts are FREE! — Are they?

Thoughts are free!?

The misconception that thoughts are free is the cause of a multitude of failures, wounds and unhealthy lifestyles! One of them is called Rat Race...?

If people were really free to choose their thoughts:

Would they really be so "stupid" to fill them with worry, fear and depressive content as well as regret or accepting institutional scaremongering??

A very dear friend of mine, Mr. Walter Gunz, the founder of the billion-dollar empire Media Markt & Saturn has the following opinion on this subject, which I can only subscribe to - In his book "Ich war doch nicht bl?d" (I wasn't stupid after all) he writes the following on the subject of happiness:?

"The explosive development in all branches of technology [...] has not only pleasant sides. What should make our lives easier is becoming a substitute for essentials. Politics and organizations are taking over people.?
All too easily, man thereby forgets his actual vision and his individual destiny and personality growth.?
He becomes a functioning cog in the wheel of the system, and gives up his search for salvation as he seeks happiness in the outer world.?
We are happy or unhappy not by our situation in life, but by our attitude toward life."?

Well, I could now imagine, someone who has a 12 to 16-hour day in his business or the practice or clinic or bureau, no longer knows how he, or she, should still bring any new insight into the full everyday life.

NO TIME for new thoughts!

And yes: It would be understandable that these fellows think, Mr. Gunz can easily talk, as the successful entrepreneur, which he is. He does not have to do my job day in and day out! And if you are so busy as I am, it is just not that simple to “feel lucky by our attitude" to the life situation.

I'm convinced that Walter Gunz's success didn't just fall into his lap.

We all don't have fried chicken falling into our mouths.

If that's you and if that fits how you feel and think:

Like you, I've been on the hamster wheel. I know the feeling of impotence, lack of power and not realizing there is a relatively easy exit.?

And yet: I'm out.?

And it was precisely MY ADJUSTMENT to the hamster wheel that allowed me to get out of it at that time.?

I like how friends in American English call it: The rat race! That is the usual expression in the USA for our local "hamster wheel". Do you know what they say as well??

Even if someone wins the rat race, he is still the rat!

Get out there: You need to get out there to stop feeling driven and rushed like a rat in a race.

Oh, but today that's hard? Harder than ever?

NO! TODAY OF ALL DAYS IT IS MORE PLAUSIBLE THAN EVER TO TAKE THE LEAP!?

Thanks, Gisbert, on those thoughts on the Rat Race. I first learned from Robert Kiyosaki from the rat race. The more I played his game Cashflow 101 the more I understood the Rat Race and why some people want most people to stay in the Rat Race. Become independent and your Rat Race becomes bigger and with more gold in it, but it is still a Rat Race. So let's start to make the next step to step out of the Rat Race. I look forward to the next Leap!
