Thoughts...

I want to believe this is just one of those days of our humble beginnings as students. That time to shine is coming!

If there has always been something to be grateful for, it remains a fact that it is because I am a student who learns every day, not only from my lecturers in class but also from my mates, those who are above me and most importantly, those who are above me from whom all it has become so impossible not to learn - the ones who have gone forward to achieve enviable feats and inspire us to want to achieve even more, academically, experience-wise and many more.

This piece is to say that I am grateful to those who have caused positive shifts in my mental thinking and who have drawn traceable blueprints which have become map roads to persons like me so as to get to that top tower in life. Some of whom include; Alex Ifechukwu Oluwaseun Ayansola Adewola Asaolu Adekunle Abiona Adewumi Victor Tomide Adeoye David Akindolire Reginald Aziza Faith Bamise Oyewale Great Oyiki and many more. It is apposite to point out too that these great minds have unknowingly and practically helped shaped my minds towards the development of my interests which include; tax administration in Nigeria, finance, global governance and more.

Though the journey has not been so easy but we cannot afford to fail where others have succeeded. We cannot also refuse today to do those things which will prepare us for a better future - if not the best. Also, I must mention at this point that the institution, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife is an illustrious place from where one can be sure, if truly things have been done, are being properly, one will definitely excel - by God's grace.

I must ultimately commend the associations and organisations within the institution, especially within the Faculty of Law that have become havens where we gain practical knowledge and get designed for an enhancement in our individual employability. It must be mentioned that they include; The Tax Club OAU ILSA OAU Liberation Chambers OAU, but to mention a few.

Conclusively, if there are promises to be made, they are that we shall not fail to achieve distinctions, distinctiveness and adhere strictly to the standards of excellence.
