Thoughts on Brendon Burchard's talk, "What Great Leaders Actually Do"
In his talk, Burchard describes a leader as someone who embodies the six E's. These six E's are Envision, Enlist, Embody, Empower, Evaluate, and Encourage. By implementing these six steps a person can create a plan, find the type of people that can help make that plan a reality, train those people to find and reach their full potential, evaluate the success and efficiency of the group, and encourage the weaker links to fulfill their goals. A person who is able to embody these traits will be able to take the lead and help themselves and others to reach their goals both in the business sector and in life. I believe that these six E's can be a guideline for myself and others so that we can be more effective leaders both inside and outside of an entrepreneurial setting. I will strive to keep these in mind as I move toward being a leader in my chosen industry.
