Thoughtful, kind, authentic, intelligent, down-to-earth and incredibly gracious.

That is how I’ve been describing Chelsea Clinton after having the honor of hosting her for a LinkedIn Speaker Series a couple weeks ago.

I recently realized that I have hosted 66 Speaker Series over the years. SIXTY SIX opportunities for inspiration and learning from a very impressive list of guests (PS - you can see them all here) and I have to say, out of all the events I have worked on, this was definitely one of my highlights by far.

I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with her before the event - and I was so impressed with all of her responses during the fireside chat she had with our CMO, Shannon Brayton. Here are a few examples of what she had to say when asked...

...how she responds to the bullying she experiences (33 seconds):

------------------------------------------------------

….how she talks to her children about compassion (39 seconds):

------------------------------------------------------

...what reactions she has had from young people about her book, Start Now (1 minute):

------------------------------------------------------

...if there was a book written about her, what would she want the title to be (50 seconds):

------------------------------------------------------

And I have to be honest, I got a big kick out of this one. As she was answering a question about how people can be agents of change as it relates to ending gun violence, she mentioned where some research is being done and happened to mention my alma mater, and I got out shout out. :) Go Hop! Check it out (24 seconds)…

------------------------------------------------------

If you are so inspired, and want to experience the whole event, you can download the podcast - or you can watch the full Speaker Series here (1 hour):

------------------------------------------------------

I would be remiss if I did not thank ALL the amazing people who make events like this one - and all the other Speaker Series possible.
