Tumblr Returns
Is it 2014? Because Tumblr—the once hopping social media site that had it’s death certificate signed a while ago—has returned!
Gen Z has repopulated the site, accounting for over 60 percent of new users over the past year.

If you weren't aware, Tumblr was basically declared deceased back in 2019 when it was purchased by Wordpress for the, uh…affordable sum of just $3 million. It’s value severely deflated when, in an attempt to please Apple, the platform enacted a hard ban on sexually explicit content.
The mass exodus from the site shortly after revealed that porn had been Tumblr’s bread and butter. Without it, the ship sank.
So, why the resurgence now?
It seems like the main draw to Tumblr?is that it’s not Facebook. Zoomers like the niche vibes and content of the platform that now goes mostly unmonitored because…well honestly, probably even the mods on Tumblr forgot about it.?
Some attractive features include…
?No algorithm
?No influencers or clout-posting
领英推荐
?No need to share your real-world identity

‘Tok Watch
TikTok has added a trending song feature to the Trends section of its Creative Center that provides a listing of the most popular songs in the app—filterable by region.

Per a recent?TikTok report, over 430 songs surpassed a billion video views in the app in 2021 while over 175 songs that had trended on TikTok had also charted on the Billboard Hot 100.?
Trending songs and audio clips are pretty much essential for TikTok success. Much like dances and challenges, they contribute heavily to what goes viral and what doesn’t, so a constantly updated feed is incredibly helpful.
