Thought and Emotion.
Two very important aspects of life. When you #think with your #head the thought is objective and rational. And emotional people go with their #hearts. They use their hearts to decide and are #right-brained. Have we #thought about this concept (and trust me it’s a concept nothing more)? We are defying our anatomy and physiology where the heart has stopped doing its function of pumping blood and somehow magically has developed neurons that allow it to #think. Also, there is no scientific evidence that emotional people have no use for the left side of their brains. The fact is that our #conditioning has us so hard-wired that we live our lives with #concepts and #beliefs without understanding simple things. Things that are happening right here, within #ourselves, and for which we don’t need anyone else or any book or any avataar to tell us or guide us or preach to us.
So then what is #emotion? Is it different than #thought? #Think hard (remember only our brain has that capacity). There’s nothing happening in our hearts. The poor organ has its own struggles and is trying to keep up with fighting all the plaque and getting enough energy to make sure the blood reaches every nook and cranny of our body. Why burden it with a function that has already been allocated to the brain? Because in reality #emotion is also a #thought. It has the same origins as any other thought. Our senses take in a #signal, apply to it the #data gathered in our #memory, and make it a #thought. But then comes the interesting part. We have these strong memories of things we really liked or disliked. Those that invoked a physical #manifestation. We may have sweated or released some hormones. And that #experience stayed strong in our memories. So when the signal was similar we applied that memory to it and got the same experience. And thus called it #emotion. Apply this process to #Anger and understand that it is nothing more than a thought with the secretion of cortisol. Or have a rewarding #thought with dopamine.?Finally, don't get emotional about this. It's just another thought!
