Thought for the Day ~ When in Doubt, Slow Down

Always do your best.......don't get caught in storms of your own making. At times we give our energy away, to, too many things in our life. We behave like everything is equally important and urgent, when it's not. We continually and regularly exhaust ourselves because we have glamorized exhaustion and being busy. While we may give our professional lives focus, attention, and time. We short change the rest of our lives regularly. In fact, if we are honest with ourselves; we rarely commit to the moments, the family, the friends, and all of the other things that matter.?This is a sign that the storms have taken over our lives; and before we know it, we find ourselves amidst the continual barrage of urgency,?as we lose ourselves and our ability to stand in our power.

Patience is organic time and learning to remove all the haste in your life allows you to find the essence of who you are. Becoming more of who you really are, begins the process of finding your stillness in the world. It is the intersection of joy and love both of which are needed to enjoy the beautiful breezes. In a world where instant gratification is rewarded it can be difficult to accept that there is no need to rush yourself or others in facing the challenges of emotional growth. With awareness we are able to see that balance is the key to a wonderful life. That focused intention allows us recognize the gift of time.?Because it's fleeting and when it's gone, you can never get it back. So spend your time and place your attention on the joy in the moments. Don't let your mind be filled with a tornado of thoughts that frustrate you. Quiet your mind, and remember that nature's power comes through its rhythms and seasons. So it is. Namaste.

Don Miguel Ruiz Jr said "Sometimes our lives can become so busy and chaotic. It feels as if we are caught in a hurricane. With so many things swirling around us, our stress levels rise as we try to control not only the things we can, but also the peripheral things outside ourselves that we can't. In trying to control the entire swell of the hurricane, we give our power away; the result is suffering. It's easy to get caught up in the hurricane and forget to stay in our centre, in our power. The hurricane exists because you exist. The strength of the hurricane comes directly from you. With awareness, you can get back to your centre. You can find the calm in the storm."
