Thought for the Day ~ Cracked Open

Today’s Challenge ~ The more you understand yourself as a human being, the more you realize that you are either in the flow of life, or you’re fighting it. And every time you fight what is, you get weaker.

Always do your best…..ancient wisdom teaches us that if we are not careful, we will experience what we think about. We all get trapped in the fog of our thinking minds. That place where it seems like a thousand thoughts are competing with one another. And if we’re honest with ourselves, we don’t use discernment enough when we’re trapped. We don’t sort out our thoughts and recognize where we might be giving false attribution or creating worse case scenarios. Yet, if we can recognize this, then we can see the thoughts as simply that and let them go. We can be more mindful of our emotional and reactive patterns and see them within the construct of our thoughts. Because, we will also become aware of the things we say to ourselves to explain our own behaviour and choices. We will see that we are resorting to using the coping strategies we developed in childhood.

Those narratives that we create to justify our actions and choices, in so many ways are who we become. So, we must lean in and connect with our conscious mind. As adults we need to separate our thoughts and understand that how we think and speak to ourselves is just as important as how we engage others. Moreover, If our thinking mind is responsible for moodiness, or less than stellar communication skills then we need to slow down. We need to pause and recognize that there is so much you cannot identify when you’re travelling at top speed. Today, become aware of how you express your intent and how it is always manifesting, and how you are making something happen. Notice your own energy and what effect it has on others. We are always responsible for how we walk this earth, and the goal is to always leave people better than you found them. With humility we don’t get all tangled up in life. We live wholeheartedly and consciously. Namaste.

Eckhart Tolle said “ The human condition lost in thought. Most people spend their entire life imprisoned within the confines of their own thoughts. They never go beyond a narrow, mind made, personalized sense of self that is conditioned by the past. In you, as in each human being, there is a dimension of consciousness far deeper than thought. Finding that dimension frees you and the world from the suffering you inflict on yourself and others when the mind made “little me” is all you know, and it runs your life. The stream of thinking has enormous momentum that can easily drag you along with it. Every thought matters so much. It wants to draw your attention in completely.”
