Those little things that matter much

Those little things that matter much

As we course through waters that are persistently more adamant than quicksand, and try to balance in vain over waves that peak to touch the tempestuous skies, we get to perceive the real hues that fill the kaleidoscopic space around us. Or rather we take time out consciously, to pause the maddening frenzy around, and think of all the teeming trails of tamed foals and wild buffaloes strutting past.

Let's deliberately learn to fall in love with the simple joys, real emotions and true bonds of life. Think of real people who truly care. Of minds sane enough to seamlessly empathize. Of people who naturally partake in your joy and take no second thought at applauding. Of people who think twice before they pour out their sour heartless burden onto your parched back. Also do think of the immaculate farce that contours many a painted faces. Of sheer thankless minds tattooed with the soot black stars of a hundred conditions. Of pathetically selfish obsessions running riot over human emotions. Of grossly mutilated beings, fishing madly in muddled potholes.

Falling in love with the simple true pleasures of life is easy. It's just about wiping off the unconcerned smut off the spectacles perched precariously on the edges of our nose. It is about lifting our eyebrows and convincing our eyes to focus on life, from above the machine cut precision glasses, built to see the world in a certain way.

Today as I returned back to my desk, after a quick break at work, I find a scrumptious little treat, made for me, kept neatly on a paper towel, on the silver handrest of my laptop! Chocolate spread liberally slathered on to arrowroot biscuits, made into delicious sandwich cookies... One of the few delights my lil' fella knows how to make. And he's made it specially for mommy at work!

Life is absolutely and defenitely about the simple joys that fill it. It is never about the next expedition to Mars that you and I would launch, be it from the kitchen or from the laptop!
