Those that inspire

Those that inspire

For IWD I've decided to thank some of the women who have been a great influence to me in recent times. Most aren't necessarily 'recognised faces,' but all deserve to be looked up to.

  • Liv Nixon , a heart of gold, humble and helpful. Creator of the This Girl KAM podcast and someone I’ll always support.
  • Rippon Ubhi , a whirlwind of can-do enthusiasm and energy, and leading with great force and conviction.
  • Izzy Gladstone , a genuine friend for life who puts so much honesty, hard work, purity and passion into everything she does.
  • Emma Vitalini who deserves for everyone to look after her, even though she puts others first every time.
  • Lucy Osborne , Aydan K. , Ana Mendes de Sousa and Anukriti B. , all who started recently at Impatient Health and are already showing me up. The future is safe in their hands.
  • Rina Newton , who brings personality and panache to her work, changing perceptions, naturally giving and always raising the bar.
  • Sheela Illuri , a fascinating mix of skill and personality who reminds me that ‘well behaved women don’t make history.’
  • Jennifer Villagarcia ia who comes with a wonderful thirst for innovation, an abundance mindset and an incredibly kind soul.
  • Nina Fyhn who makes me laugh multiple times a second, and who knows what’s important in life.
  • Grazia Mohren , who brings life and energy to every conversation and is a joy to work with.
  • Caoimhe Vallely-Gilroy , a dastardly partner in crime, force for good, future hermit and frighteningly smart.
  • Desiree Priestley , who really does care, and fights for the very best for others. Smart and personable.
  • Katrine Bach , who manages to be both impressive and down-to-earth at the same time. And who inside has a kind, genuine determination.
  • Melinda Decker , with a staggering intellect and capacity to handle more than pretty much anyone, and just knows how to execute.
  • Heather Moses , probably the closest thing I have to a mentor, always helpful, modest and who astonishes me with her wisdom and go-getting mindset. I’m so lucky to know her.
  • Magdalene Pedersen , such great energy and a wonderfully mischievous humour. An all-round great person with huge emotional intelligence and zest for life.
  • Tiana Homsani ?? Senior Executive , an ambitious, generous and open-minded leader who is making it happen on multiple levels all at once.
  • Emma Sutcliffe , who fights for patients no matter what, is principled, articulate, hard-working, supportive and has skills ranging from medical writing to interior design to hypnotherapy to running.
  • Dr Lorna Pender , a humble and genuine soul, often found in tow with the irrepressible and impressive Carole S. .
  • Jessica Shull , a hard-working, genuine, trusting companion with steely determination to make digital health impactful for patients.
  • Claire CHARTIER , who often feels misunderstood but is determined, humble and I'm confident will make a real difference.
  • Audrey Krassnitzer , a breath of fresh air with a bright future. You know every interaction is going to be both enriching and enjoyable.
  • Alejandra Betancourt , streetwise and smart, now showing herself to be the leader she’s always been.
  • Natercia Rodrigues , strong and willing to do what it takes to make a real difference. My kind of person.
  • Agathe Le Lay who wants what is best for everyone, and whose gentle determination is very inspiring.
  • Dr. Pinky Dharmshaktu , who everyone adores, has a sweet soul and drives so much forward without complaint.
  • Michelle Kelly , the most authentic and genuine of marketing managers who seeks value in what she does, publishing insightful and increasingly influential truths each year.
  • Sarah Krüg who I haven't spoken to for a while, but has been a wonderful friend and influence both in career and mindset, with an infectious modesty and youthful spirit.
  • Heidi Floyd : I love her energy, smile, candour and can-do approach to anything, as well as her refreshing positivity towards our industry. Just a lovely person.
  • Karen Batoosingh , a warm heart who wants the best for people and for the medical profession. Already doing a lot but also so much potential for the future.
  • Fiona Olivier , a great communicator who somehow manages to be genuine, committed and cheeky all at once.
  • Anne Najjar , an empathetic and enlightened person, and strong communicator, who is pioneering patient wellbeing in systemic and exciting ways.
  • Camille Hertzka who is someone I hope to get to know better but in just a few exchanges has shown herself to be a very inspiring leader but also modest, authentic and extremely likeable.
  • Dr. Priya Agrawal, MD (BMBCh), MPH who is still my favourite person in pharma, but who thinks I say this to everyone (not true)!

Plus, and none of you will be surprised, but if you’re not already following Mehrnaz Campbell , Jill Donahue, Fueling the power of purpose in pharma teams and Carol Heggie then you’re missing out.

Thank you so much Paul for the shout out! I feel privileged to be on your list:-) but also I love the diversity of profile of leaders you mentioned. Each of us have a different story and a different career path. It’s quite telling I think. In the end it’s all about the impact we can make and how much we are driven by passion for what we do, wherever we are around the globe, type of company, or job we have. Thanks Paul for bringing us together!

Paul - surprised and chuffed at the inclusion into the (1%) club? Thank you and agree with others - an in-person meet and greet would be amazing.
