Thirty-fifth Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems - NeurIPS 2021

The Thirty-fifth Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems, NeurIPS 2021, is a virtual-only Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning conference. Tutorials started on December 6th, 2021, with the main conference running from December 7-10th, and workshops taking place December 13-14th. This year we are pleased to present two papers accepted to the main conference, and six papers accepted at Workshops.

Papers accepted to the main conference:

  1. Continual Learning via Local Module Composition (Oleksiy Ostapenko, Pau Rodriguez, Massimo Caccia, Laurent Charlin) [PDF]
  2. Systematic Generalization with Edge Transformers (Leon Bergen, Timothy J. O'Donnell, Dzmitry Bahdanau) [PDF]
  3. Systematic Evaluation of Causal Discovery in Visual Model Based Reinforcement Learning?(Nan Rosemary Ke, Aniket Didolkar, Sarthak Mittal, Anirudh Goyal, Guillaume Lajoie, Stefan Bauer, Danilo Jimenez Rezende, Yoshua Bengio, Chris Pal, Michael Mozer) [PDF] (Track on Datasets and Benchmarks)

Papers accepted at workshops:

  1. Disentanglement via Mechanism Sparsity Regularization: A New Principle for Nonlinear ICA (Sébastien Lachapelle, Pau Rodríguez López, Yash Sharma, Katie Everett, Rémi Le Priol, Alexandre Lacoste, Simon Lacoste-Julien) [PDF]
  2. On the Value of ML Models (Fabio Casati, Pierre-André No?l, Jie Yang) [Workshop link]
  3. The Dynamics of Functional Diversity throughout Neural Network Training (Lee Zamparo, Marc-Etienne Brunet , Sepideh Kharaghani) [Workshop link]
  4. Toward Foundation Models for Earth Monitoring: A Climate Change Benchmark (Alexandre Lacoste, Evan David Sherwin, Hannah Kerner, Hamed Alemohammad, Bj?rn Lütjens, Jeremy Irvin, David Dao, Alex Chang, Mehmet Gunturkun, Alexandre Drouin, Pau Rodriguez, David Vazquez) [PDF] ?[Workshop link]
  5. Towards Neural Functional Program Evaluation (Torsten Scholak, Jonathan Pilault, Joey Velez-Ginorio) [PDF] ?[Workshop link]
  6. Typing assumptions improve identification in causal discovery (Philippe Brouillard, Perouz Taslakian, Alexandre Lacoste, Sébastien Lachapelle, Alexandre Drouin) [PDF] ?[Workshop link]

There were no sponsorships allowed at the conference this year, however we were delighted to share the following open positions with jobseekers.

We welcome you to learn more about what it’s like to work on AI at ServiceNow. We have new jobs opening up frequently, so you may want to bookmark the link to our careers page and apply for any that match your experience and ambitions.

We would like to thank the NeurIPS 2021 organizing committee, the 2021 main program committee (including Senior Area Chairs, Area Chairs, Reviewers, and Ethics Reviewers), and the Neural Information Processing Systems Foundation Board 2021 for hosting this conference, particularly under such difficult conditions.

Special thanks go out to members of the community that have organized the workshops.

Congratulations to all the researchers that had papers accepted. We wish you all the best for the conference and hope to meet you online at the conference.
