Thirsty Crow and the Pitcher story – Another Take
We all know the story of thirsty crow and the pitcher. Imagine the story bit differently – a group of thirsty crows in a barren landscape. To survive and find the water, the gallant leaders of the group?perhaps thinking all the grand plans – flying high to the distant cloud, digging deep with their ‘strong’ beaks while our crow drops another pebble in the pitcher… and goes on and on?despite all the big groups plans, cawing, noises. And as the water starts to rise to certain levels, some other crows take notice.. they bring their pebbles .. and more and more .. the water level goes up and up..
Sustained channelized incremental evaluation does have exponential power – be it in our life, nature or in business world.?Glacier drops create the expansive rivers; small cracks can collapse a mighty dam (the movie sequence in ???Force 10 from Navarone). And we still need more proof, we only need to look at the mirror – how did we originate from one-cell protozoa – the Power of Sustained Incremental Evolution!

2 年It’s a point well made Pranab . It’s interesting that people who criticize incremental progress often can’t neither make drastic progress nor incremental progress :)
