APR X Six Brands Showcase Sustainable Modest Fashion Collections at MUFFEST+ 2024

8 August 2024 – APR partnered with 6 local brands at the Muslim Fashion Festival (MUFFEST)+ 2024 to present 60 modest fashion collections. Under the theme of “Redefining Fashion for Better Future”. The collections were made with APR’s viscose rayon as the primary material and drew inspiration from Indonesia’s nature and culture. Collaboration with Local Designer at Jogja Fashion Week

22 August 2024 - At Jogja Fashion Week, APR partnered with designer Indra Gunawan to showcase sustainable fashion through his “Pelisir” collection, featuring APR’s viscose rayon and traditional Kristik embroidery. This collaboration underscores Yogyakarta’s potential as a hub for sustainable fashion and aims to inspire fashion educators and institutions to embrace biodegradable materials like viscose rayon.

Presenting Latest Collections in Viscose and Lyocell at Yarn Expo, Shanghai

27-29 August 2024 – Sateri and APR exhibited their latest collections at Yarn Expo in Shanghai, China, a leading trade show for the textile industry. As major suppliers of natural and blended yarns, including viscose rayon and lyocell, the teams engaged with suppliers and partners from Asia and Europe, who have special interests in biodegradable materials.

The Fashion Incubation Programme Leading to Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) 2025

28 August 2024 – We were honoured to welcome Minister Sandiaga S. Uno at the Jakarta Fashion Hub for the Pentahelix Talk, ahead of Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week 2025. During this talk, APR highlighted the role of sustainable and breathable fabric in global modest fashion industry, aligning with the Minister’s vision of expanding Indonesia’s Muslim fashion presence internationally. Empowering Local Artisans: Weaving Traditions with Sustainable Viscose Fibre

20 September 2024 - In Riau, APR supports Rumah Tenun Pulau Payung, a weaving house that empowers local artisans. APR provides training, study visits to Pekanbaru, looms, and viscose threads, helping them create unique, high-quality crafts. By combining traditional techniques with modern sustainable materials, these weavers are producing beautiful, distinctive souvenirs that showcases Riau’s rich cultural heritage. Read the article

25 September 2024 - We organised our first customer meet in Karachi, Pakistan to engage with both long-time and potential customers to highlight our sustainable products and practices. Highlighting Viscose and Traditional Craftsmanship, APR Partners with Riau-Based Designers in a Media Workshop

21 October 2024 - APR hosted a workshop for 30 media representatives, presenting the versatility of biodegradable viscose rayon in clothing. The event featured collaborations with Riau-based designers Thiffa Qaisty Salsabila and Rika Guslail. By supporting local events and talents, APR is actively working towards APR2030 goal of making Riau a leading textile hub, promoting traditional craftsmanship and driving sustainable growth. With APR, Sustainable Fashion Takes Centre Stage at JFW 2025

23-24 October 2024 – APR collaborated with Duniatex at Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW 2025), exhibiting 48 sustainable fashion collections under the theme “Fashion Evolution”. This marked APR’s third participation in JFW, but the first to include a partnership with garment manufacturers like Duniatex. Using APR’s viscose rayon, Duniatex created high-quality fabrics for Matahari (Nevada and ZES) and EMBA Group (Ladies, Denim, Morphidae, and Classic). Watch here

Customers from Peru, UAE, India, and Indonesia, Visited Our Mill in Kerinci

25 November 2024 – We hosted a hands-on partner experience in Pangkalan Kerinci operations, providing international yarn and fabric partners – including Rafael Escardo, owner of Cotton Mix, Peru– with a firsthand look at our fully integrated process. This experience highlighted APR’s dedication to sustainability and the value we deliver to global partners.

APR 6th Anniversary Celebration

2 December 2024 – We proudly celebrated our 6th anniversary with the theme “Together Towards Tomorrow: A 6-Year Journey.” This celebration also to commemorate our key milestones including ISO 50001:2018 certification, hosting our first Customer Meet in Bangladesh and Pakistan, expanding exports to over 20 countries, and surpassing sustainability goals ahead of schedule, aligned with our APR2030 Clean Manufacturing Goals.

This event provided our valued customers with an opportunity to witness firsthand the viscose production process. APR Hosted Customers from Bangladesh

17 December 2024 – APR hosted customers from Bangladesh at Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau, in December. This visit provided an opportunity for them to observe our viscose production process firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of our commitment to responsible textile manufacturing. Following the facility tour, they visited the Jakarta Fashion Hub to explore its innovative facilities and learn how it supports the growth of sustainable fashion in Indonesia.

APR Achieves ZDHC MMCF Certification at the Highest Aspirational Level

October 2024 - APR proudly achieved the ‘aspirational’ level of certification under the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) programme for Man-Made Cellulosic Fibres (MMCF) this October. This significant milestone, reached within five years of operation, underscores APR’s dedication to sustainable production practices. By attaining this, APR demonstrates its commitment to minimising environmental impact and driving responsible textile manufacturing. Read here

APR Reports on Environmental Performance and Sustainability Goals

November 2024 - Our latest sustainability report highlights significant progress in environmental performance. Since 2019, we have reduced sulphur emission intensity by over 57% and achieved a 94.9% recovery rate of processing materials, nearly approaching the industry benchmark of 95%. This align with APR2030 sustainability target. These achievements are a result of investments in advanced equipment which has allowed us to increase viscose fibre production while using less CS2.
