Will there be a third ‘T’ entering Musk’s life soon?

It’s about time that the Twitter chief took a breather. But it seems like he’s ready to strike again.?

It would have been difficult to believe that when the world is going gaga over Artificial Intelligence, Elon Musk didn’t jump on the hype train. Maybe he took a while, but he did it eventually.?

Drawing attention towards how AI at this juncture is heavily capable of destroying humanity, Musk has suggested a solution. He wants to come up with his own version of AI chatbot, called ‘TruthGPT’, which would ideally be a truth seeking AI and focus on understanding the nature of the universe.?

There has been much spoken about the misinformation or ‘politically correct’ information that is cropping up on ChatGPT of late. Hence it wouldn’t be wrong to say that AI is not immune to human biases and if not designed and developed carefully, it can perpetuate or even amplify societal prejudices.

Could Musk’s ambition with TruthGPT be an answer to AI bias??

He believes that a path to AI dystopia is to train AI to be deceptive. The idea is basically that an AI that understands humanity, is less likely to destroy it. And that is what, if a TruthGPT sees the light of the day, would most likely be all about.?

The Tesla CEO has repeatedly warned the world about the risks of AI. In his recent interview, Musk even brought up how AI could lead to ‘civilisation destruction’. Last month, he also joined a group of other tech leaders in signing an open letter calling for a six month pause in the “out of control” race for AI development.?

Cannot help but wonder, how different can TruthGPT even turn out, considering all the skepticism Musk has about AI? A little intrigued, a lot excited and maybe a tad worried.?
