The Third Element of Luxury
Carlos Malliaroudakis
A veteran polyglot international hotelier, creating environments where businesses and people thrive.
In my view, there are three elements related to luxury.
The first is related to high level of services offered by competent people. The second is related to high end products reflecting true luxury.
There is in fact as well a THIRD element of great importance, not visible through people or tangible through product, but sensed through the evoking of emotion. To describe it better, it is a kind of weight or higher force you feel whilst entering a sacred place, viewing breathtaking scenery, or visiting a historical building.
It is an imposing ambiance that gives you an impression of grandeur and magnificence.
In my opinion, some places or products might portray the first two elements of luxury, but they significantly lack the third one.
In closing, not all that glows is gold……
This thought of mine is dedicated to “La Grande Dame of Amman”….
