As a manager, you may find it hard to engage in fruitful discussions about the future. You are able to speculate informally over lunch, but be unable to plan strategically in a formal session. You sense that this needs to change, but how? Where will this new skill-set come from?

2 年Francis, I see many dots to connect here. When I work with Executives in the US or Europe, I help them to congruently express their strategies. They know them already because they dissected them for breakfast, lunch and dinner in aggressive pursuit. They are proactive. In the Caribbean, 95% of the time, I am called in to facilitate (as you said), to help Executives find, understand and identify with their strategies. This happens after the fact - after a promotion, a failing, a loss. They are reactive. BIG difference! And yes, the smartest and brightest go off to start their own global firms. ?? Looking forward to some follow-ups. Thanks, as always. Cassandra
