Thinking about starting something
Life is a journey. I have been tied to Stavis Seafoods for as long as I can remember. For many years my job changed but the company didn't. We bought, we sold. The items changed but the process stayed the same.
My family life and my work life are inextricably intertwined. My earliest memories were of my powerful and sometimes fiery relationship with my grandfather Isadore, the founder of Stavis. He was not easy, but as a child I cherished the fact that he listened and talked to me as if I were an adult. When I put forward an opinion he expected me to defend it. He let me be a person instead of a kid. This bound me to him and to the business.
In October I will complete my 30th year at Stavis. All have been memorable but I have grown and changed more in the last 3 years than in the prior 27 and the company is changing with me. I am thinking about cronicling my journey in a series of posts entitled "The Road to Responsible". Interested?

9 年Hi. I'd be interested in the stories of that journey, the lessons of those visionary leaders that came before us and helped create this industry, and how those experinces have shaped you / Stavis / your leadership in the industry. It would be fun if those posts also sparked others to do the same.
