Thinking positively in difficult times

Thinking positively in difficult times

I don’t know about you but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the negativity out there.

I thought I’d share a few positive work ideas isolation has forced me to have. Please share yours too!

1 - More digital communication

Now we’re forced into online communication rather than meeting in person, I’m making more time to communicate through social media and blog posts. And I intend to keep it up.

2 - Dedicate more time to thinking

I planned to read one business book per month in 2020, but with all this time at home that’s on the increase. I will start sharing my reviews.

3 - Don’t be overly reliant

My background is in travel so we rely heavily on the travel industry for work - it’s what I know best and it makes up 70% of Proof Content’s revenue. But we have a network of over 150 writers, which means we can write for almost any industry. Now’s the time for us to start doing something about that.

4 - Think about what matters

My business does two main things:

  • Creates excellent content.
  • Finds clients for writers.

I’ve realised we focus on number 1 too much and number 2 too little. My main priority at the moment is to keep my writers writing, and this should always be a priority.

5 - Declutter my to do list

There are hundreds of items on my to do list, and now I’m trapped at home I finally have time to get round to them. If I’m not doing them now, they’re coming off the list. I’m looking at you learning French.
