THINKING OUT LOUD

Summary: Leverage is what it's called, or a mastermind of those having the same interest and direction in the pursuit of getting major things accomplished in a particular area.

After having watched the presidential campaigns and seeing the billions of dollars pumped into both the Clinton's and Trump's Foundations. Then hearing of the misuse, the greed; how does one sleep at night, having 10 ft. portraits commissioned of the foundation's owner and paid with the money donated by the people, whom trusted the vision to do good around the world?  One candidates’ words come blaring out at me, with hand gestures and a perched mouth. "I sleep fantastically well, I feel great, I have never slept so good. Let me tell you."

Then we have the Pay- to -Play scenarios. If your country does not have the millions of dollars, with the political prowess to earn the respect of the privileged elite, then any forth coming substantial support is basically null and void and at best are given a lot of promises backed by little results.

It had me thinking how much good a conglomeration of gold savers, having formed a global foundation could do for the world. This thought may be naive to the point of being relegated to a pipe dream. Never the less, these are my thoughts and I, UN-apologetically am Port Au Prince Haiti willing to share them with you.

This would undoubtedly be a long term -goal and for the first time many would be in the position to make a real difference in their communities, cities and states. We often think of those over-seas who are having it tough and sincerely from our hearts we would like to help them. Yet, until we can fortify our own infrastructure starting within our own homes; how can we possibly be a help to a community an ocean away?

This is not to say that we don’t heed the request of helping other countries. We give our little donations through the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Feed the Children and other charitable organizations of choice like Haiti and the Clinton foundation. Due to the high cost of administration fees, transportation, handling and taxes; the people we wish so desperately to help - only receive approximately 3% of our collective donations.

Maybe when gold does hit $50,000 an ounce another unapologetic thinker will show forth their vision and our two minds will influence other minds; to join force to bring about a real sustainable change in the people’s lives here at home, of Haiti and those like her.
