Gaming the FTC’s Moves On MSFT and Activision Blizzard
ETX's Greg Kahn ??? was interviewed by The Drum’s Kendra Clark last week about the Federal Trade Commission’s latest court filing to block Microsoft’s $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Microsoft has been dogged in surmounting a succession of regulatory hurdles in the U.S. and in the European Union for over a year-and-a-half. But I don’t see the Redmond giant giving up without a few more creative legal maneuvers. The stakes are too high.
The Industrial Metaverse Is Working
While the marketing world buried the word “metaverse” months ago, news of the terms’ death hasn’t reached leaders of global enterprise and industrial companies.
That’s the overwhelming finding of a study by EY and commissioned by Nokia, which noted that virtually all of its 860 survey respondents expressed an abiding faith in the revenue-generating capabilities of metaverse applications.

1 年You must hate me, Greg Kahn. Lol!! I think Rick Bullotta and I double handedly killed "industrial metaverse" off. Sorry, brother! No doubt a lot of good stuff happening with XR, but it has aways struggled and with generative AI, we need to remind ourselves that industrial manufacturing where the leading edge technologies are going are precision industries. Generative AI is not a precision tool unfortunately. Blame it on the technology. Great stuff, my friend! Cheers!
