Thinking “inside” the box.

Thinking “inside” the box.

When you don’t need to get creative to solve creasing problems on a perfect binder!

By: Derek Wood of Don Valley Graphic Equipment, UK exclusive distributors of the Rosback TrueScore-Pro system.

Normally when a problem occurs the smart move is to “think outside the box” to come up with a creative solution to get around the problem. On the other hand the smart move may well be already “inside the box”.

When faced with a job that can’t be creased to a satisfactory standard on your machine you still have choices right?

A) It’s okay as long as the customer doesn’t make a fuss or rejects it.

B) No problem, we can do it on the flatbed cylinder it will only take a few hours.

C) We can send it out for creasing, it doesn’t matter about the cost, the customer is paying for it anyway.

So the job is creased offline and comes back to the binder: On a good day you’re not having to sacrifice the quality of the binding to fit in with the creases you’ve got but if not do you blame whoever laid out the job or whoever has done the creasing?

Let’s rewind and start again!

Wouldn’t your life be a lot easier if you just put the job on the machine and make the creases that you want on any kind of stock, digital , heavyweight or even laminated as you run the job and put those crease lines just where you want them to make a nice tight square binding?

What about the cracking? The laminate lifting on the crease line, that stubborn hinge crease that doesn’t open easily and pulls the inside sheet of the book with it exposing the tell tale binding marks that customers would like to believe don't exist. None of that will be a problem!

Go inside this box containing the Rosback TrueScore-Pro Quad system and in 30 minutes after you’ve fitted what’s in the box you’ll never have to think outside the box again……. and you’ll understand why people are switching to this remarkable system rather than carrying on using our competitors equipment..
