Thinking About Boosting Your Facebook Post

Thinking About Boosting Your Facebook Post

I’ve encountered a lot of people who first started with Facebook Ads asking this question.

“Should I be boosting my Facebook posts? I mean, it’s easy. I just click that button then give my credit card information and I’m all set. I don’t have to learn a lot of complicated things anymore.”

Well, my answer to that question is, you should not do it.

Here’s my reasoning.

Facebook wants to make it very easy for us to give them money.

In return, they’d give us some type of results.

Looking at it, you can tell that it’s not really the results you’ve been looking for.

So, if you put a post out offering a product to be sold, then decided to boost, what you’re creating is a page post engagement ad.

This means that Facebook will only find people who can click, like, and comment on your post.

But, they won’t be finding people who can purchase your product.

That’s why it’s very important to go to the Ads Manager and optimize your ad for purchase.

Facebook will then do its job and find people who will likely take the action that you want them to with your ad.

So, if what you’re looking for is a purchase, then create a conversion ad optimized for purchase.

The cost per result will go down because you are not just instructing Facebook to give you clicks, likes, and comments.

Because let’s admit it, clicks, likes, and comments don’t pay the bills.

So, if you’re looking for someone who can manage your Facebook ads for you.

Don’t hesitate to give me a call!

Noreen, here's the reason why you shouldn't boost your posts. This would makes sense way more than I can explain.
