Workshops were conducted after one to three modules to give participants the time to reflect on the relevance and use of the modules as well as jumpstart the process of customizing the modules to the learning aptitude and context of their target communities.

We have seen that with good materials and thoughtful customization and adaptation to learning aptitude and context, it does work and, oftentimes, more effective than conventional training especially if it involves soft skills, relationships, and promoting collaboration among rural communities, where knowledge is often inaccessible especially to those who need it. In rural areas, especially in developing countries, technology, resources and ICT tools including internet are almost always poor to zero availability.

This trip has been incredible and is just the beginning, because the ILO, as well as other stakeholders, including us, are organizing more training and knowledge transfer events for facilitators, beneficiaries and users in different value chains in several countries in Asia, Latin America, Africa, Middle East and Europe.
