“THINK IT THROUGH” Day 10
“The Big Trip ‘Out on the Town’ “ – Just a few weeks ago, going to the Grocery Store with my wife would have been just a routine chore,…just something we did for the needs of the household amidst our many other busy thoughts & activities,…hardly anything on the radar to be considered as “fun”. Yet today, it was a bit like what would previously have been a “Night on the Town” out to a fancy restaurant, desert & coffee, & movie feature “date night”. But now just getting out of the house for awhile & riding to a couple of pharmacies & several different grocery stores in search of needed toilet paper is a renewing adventure! Oh what things we take for granted here in America, & leave it to a microscopic “virus” to bring us to better appreciation for them. During this time of sequestering, I’ve been tuning in “on line” to various “Church services” & heard more than one Speaker surmise that God has allowed this “pandemic” so that the world would depend less on all the activities & things going on in society, & look more to their relationships to Him. Well that certainly sounds feasible to me, & I have certainly ‘thought through’ my life & priorities more of recent. While some seem to be “waiting this period out” for things to “get back to normal”,…I rather think it has given others better wisdom to see things in life a bit differently.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
