NDIS Annual Report for 2023 -2024 released?

The report gives an overview of the NDIA’s performance and operations for the 2023–24 financial year?with a focus on recent reforms.

Key highlights include:

  • 1,210 new employees hired, with more than 55% in participant-facing roles in the Service Delivery group. ?
  • Participants reporting greater independence in their NDIS experience, exceeding the target for participant perception of choice and control over their lives.?

NDIS $1 billion dollars better off than forecast, Scheme on track to hit growth target

The new Annual Financial Sustainability Report (AFSR) projections, released as a summary in the NDIA Annual Report (above) showed total projected Scheme expenses are now expected to be $210.3 billion for the four years to June 2028.

This is $2.3 billion lower than previous AFSR projections in June 2023, and a $1 billion lower than for the same four-year period in the 2024-25 Budget.

Penny's Support Worker, Elena, was so inspired by her participants excitement that she made a special video in order to celebrate her achievements.?

Penny is equally proud - and rightly so - and she hopes that her video inspires others to get out there and give everything a go!?

Elena has been working with HAHS for almost three years has told us how grateful she feels to have met so many wonderful people through her work.?

The Help at Hand Support team had a wonderful two days at the Melbourne Disability Expo this month.??

It was such a great opportunity to have meaningful and impactful conversations with a diverse range of people.

Being able to connect in person with the community is something that we prioritise, and the Expo enabled us to build some great new connections and catch up with friends and colleagues.

Background: Roxana has a background in the health industry, specialising in facilitating communications between diverse stakeholders.?

Why Disability? Roxana enjoys being able to contribute in providing the support that clients need, managing support workers’ rosters and liaising with participants and other care providers, to ensure information is correctly communicated so that care plans are always adhered to.?

Fun Fact: Roxana enjoys driving long distances, and racing sports!?

Off Duty: ?Building Lego flowers, upcycling furniture and going on lots of shopping trips keep Roxana busy when not at work!

Lindfield Speech Pathology Clinic in Pymble, NSW will be holding a series of school holiday workshops this coming January for new school starters up to teenagers who are looking for some support with their social skills.

Contact the Clinic to get all the details and to make a book - but be quick, spaces are filliing up fast.

We are NDIS registered and also have capacity to take on new participants requiring speech therapy including telehealth appointments.
