Garden ‘shed’s’ stem far beyond the basic wooden structure that first come to mind. Sheds and outhouses have evolved into secure, insulated, permanent structures, simply creating an additional room as a separate entity from the home.

A new Sorrells Concept

The shed is no doubt already the overflow location for unhoused items. However, improper storage of wine in such locations can lead to multiple issues and the spoiling of the wine. The latest concept from Sorrells is the ‘Shedlar’, the outside wine storage solution. If wine cannot be correctly stored within the home, storing it externally is the next best thing.

A design goes beyond visuals

The product is available in three different sizes: single, double, and triple. From here on in, every other element is bespoke and unique in design. The design of a wine room should be both visually impressive but also capacity wise whilst serving the purpose of preservation. From the exterior, the Shedlar is smart and contemporary. The exterior consists of strong, bold Crittall style doors and Shiplap cladding, available in numerous shades. The timber structure protects the environment within thanks to the double layered insulation, rubber lined roof and argon filled double glazed doors. Within, a stable space offers a suitable location for an ageing collection. Thanks to the insulated walls, the temperature within the space stays relatively stable. For a more valued collection, wine cabinets can be integrated for an optimum environment.

A new take on the home bar

In addition to storage, our spaces can incorporate features to transform the space into a home bar. Through innovative design, the space within a compact area can be utilised, offering an additional function. Configure the area to suite your needs. Thanks to a bespoke product, we are not only able to utilise every corner with our made to measure products, but we are also able to design distinctive elements, specific to your requirements. Include useful utilities such as a wine cabinet or an ice machine to create a fully functioning bar space.
