?In the Business Platform Employee & IT Project Delivery we have brought together two key?capabilities: the delivery of IT& Data services and products for our Employees and the delivery of our IT Project Management capabilities. In the department we aim for the highest Employee Experience and a reliable and inspirational project delivery! ?

Business Platform Employee

We have combined?the delivery of?IT & Data products?in our Business Platform Employees, where we deliver IT services for all Employees in Royal Schiphol Group. We actively keep up with market ?developments and we are working on some very innovative projects.

Our biggest aim is to effectively contribute to our Employee Promoter Score, which is an excellent indication for employee satisfaction. To do so, we align closely with HR (workplace, @Heleen Kuijten @Esme Valk) and Finance (finance suite, @Henry van der Geest) but also all other staff departments (from Strategy and Airport Planning to Corporate affairs to Corporate Risk and Audit, @Richard Emmerink @Katie Slipper @Anne Hustinx). We collaborate closely with them and make sure we meet employee needs.

To further excel in this, we are on our way to integrate into the Business - like all other business platforms currently do. Business platform Employee will shift to HR 1,5 year from now; together with @Harriet?Butter we prepare this exciting move. ?

We have a great variety of??IT & Data products that the Business Platform Employee delivers. Schiphol@Work (our workplace domain) is a main focus areas. Here we enable all employees by providing a reliable and secure work place at any place, anywhere and anytime. We create an environment that enables employees to be productive, happy, efficient and work collaboratively with colleagues in the ecosystem. We provide laptops and smartphones, upgrade to the latest of Windows, intend to implement Azure Windows Virtual Desktop and use Modern Service Management to be able to keep up with the latest developments.

But we do more… to give you an idea:

-?????????We offer our Employees applications and tooling to facilitate their Way of Working, such as Microsoft Teams, Jira and Azure Boards; where we now are investigating what is the right technology mix for hybrid working

-?????????We facilitate our Employees to manage their work efficiently by providing tooling such as MijnRooster, SharePoint, MSafe, Mobility As A Service and the Learning Management System.

-?????????We focus on Robot Process Automation, which means we automate repetitive actions by building software robots. This reduces workload and minimizes the error margins;

-?????????We manage a Digital Finance Suite to contribute to a solid and reliable cash flow throughout our organization;

-?????????To deliver high standards of service, we use the newest (cloud) technologies. We use Splunk for always being in control through monitoring, from cyber to Life Cycle Management. ?

?IT Project Delivery

We brought all IT Project management capabilities together in a Shared Service for IT Project Management. This is a flexible team that strives for the best project management capabilities in every new project that we start in our company. ?We closely work together with the Schiphol Projects organization (lead by @Siebolt Bennema) and explore the road towards a combined future with one organization that can do all type of projects.

We organize ourselves around three areas: IT Business Change, IT Infrastructure and IT in Construction projects. We manage a wide range of diverse IT projects that differ in complexity, budget, stakeholder management, impact on our operation, lead time, risks and innovation. The variety in what we do is immense: from drones, to total airport management, to cloud migrations, to security lanes, to bird control… an awesome portfolio!

In this portfolio all IT projects contribute to at least one strategic topic. Our biggest aim is to deliver excellent project management, to realize strategic goals and to contribute to organisational values.

In the Business Platform Employee & IT Project Delivery, we transformed to new leadership. This means that @ Mijke Loven and @ Djoeke Jehee have organized our leadership around 3 leadership dimensions: People, Process and Content/Technology. Our leadership’s mission is to make our people successful; together with @Rabia Karahan, @Esther Kollen, @Anniek Kuijper and @Wilfried Rutjes we facilitate?self-organising?teams, we solve impediments together and we set clear guardrails. One of our focus points is to keep our team diversity high. By doing all this, we co-create a safe environment where there is room to fail, where there is room to improve and where we fuel the growth of mindsets.
