Think Like a Monk.
Dear Essentialists,
How are things going on a scale of 1-10 in your health, finances, career, relationships, personal growth and mindfulness?
I answered those six questions last night in my journal. I was pleasantly surprised by the answers to the first five areas. But when it came to mindfulness I gave myself a lower score. Perhaps I am not alone in this. There is something about these uncertain times that seems to strain our minds.
Enter Jay Shetty. He is a fellow Londoner and we became fast friends after appearing on each other's podcasts.
Jay left working in the financial sector in London to become a monk for several years (a kind of Dr. Strange story, for the Marvel fans among us). He has returned from that to share his insights. And his videos have been watched five billion times. Listen to the latest episode of the Essentialism podcast and subscribe here.
To put this episode into practice this week, notice which mind you are in:

At first, just noticing the difference is enough. Pause for a few seconds when you sit back down at your desk. Just notice which mind you are in.
Thank you for reading this 1-Minute Wednesday each week. It really matters.
Thank you.
