They Think it's all over....it is now!

So Friday evening in sunny Blackpool saw the end of the world's first Eco Sustainable Ultra Triathlon. https://www.towerpower2024.com/ Extreme adventurer Jordan W. and the expedition's wing man clive bates rode into Blackpool's iconic promenade in spectacular style!

The local scouts and army cadets lined the path to welcome Jordan and Clive into Blackpool under the presence of the impressive Blackpool Tower. The town council pulled out all the stops to allow the Tower to be illuminated in green on their arrival. They also lit the town's rainbow arches in green to mark the end of the expedition, and to honour the return of their local lad Jordan Wylie.

Jordan Banks parents were waiting at the bottom of the line to thank Jordan for finishing what he started many months ago! It was a very emotive moment for all involved.

After finishing the press and media interviews, Jordan cycled to Blackpool's Football Club Stadium to unveil a spectacular piece of art in the memory of young Jordan Banks. Jordan was tragically struck by lightning whilst training with his local football team.

25% of the funds from the Tower Power 2024 project went to paint the memorial wall created by “Murwalls”. It was again a very emotive moment for both Jordan Wylie, Jordan Banks parents.

It was then onto a stadium's function room to raise more funds via an auction, and for Jordan and Clive to celebrate their epic journey and catch up with their family and friends. What has become evident throughout this epic challenge, is the camaraderie and genuine friendship Clive and Jordan established over the last 5 weeks. There were times when the odds, and unseen obstacles were stacked against them. But with an unwavering sense of determination and remaining in positive spirits, they got through those tough challenges together.

If we have learnt anything from this epic challenge is the impossible really can become possible, and out of trauma and heartbreak beautiful things can emerge!
