The financial crisis and economic recession have made unexpected changes in our economy and made people to think of a career, which is not troubled by such crisis. People who are in midway of their profession, cannot choose, but who are about to begin, should look for an opportunity, which is recession proof.
One such opportunity which is jack of all trades is the knowledge of accounting.
In the business world, accounting is one discipline of study that all people, regardless of job position, should have some knowledge of. Its concepts can be applied to all job specialties, its importance has been promoted in recent years, and it is useful in people’s everyday lives.
So, why not turn ourselves into a professional accountant, to help the world in filling the positions lying vacant all around the world. The number of highly publicized scandal has fuelled the growing need for accountants and companies recognize the need of quality accounting practices.
With all of the new attention, energy and status, the accounting industry has transformed itself from one perceived as stodgy and static to a diverse, vibrant field that includes everyone from tax advisors to public agents, from financial managers to environmental activists. It's not surprising that with this greater business focus on accounting, accountants' salaries and job options have increased as well.
To be part of this tide, we need to know how we can place ourselves, among this elite group.
The world is moving rapidly to “one world” in accounting, auditing, and corporate governance.
To act globally ,we need to look at accountancy bodies that make us capable of real business stewards, steering the corporates today .
To achieve this, an accountancy degree from AICPA, CIMA, CFA or ACCA can strengthen one with global stamp of quality.
Some facts about them.
