Think BIG : Think Fire Farm : Think Spacific

Lobby lighting fixtures are the divas of interior design — they command both space and attention. Meet the Fire Farm Spacific, who is spatially terrific!

Our forte is designing custom fixtures at any scale and we met this challenge head-on by creating overlapping arc-shaped segments of black steel framing contrasting off-white fabric diffusers, then lit from inside. 

Our latest Spacific project featured here is at Jeld-Wen’s new corporate headquarters building in Charlotte, NC. These images are from the final install stage, you'll see installers and lifts and packing material in some of these photos.

The 7-foot diam and 10-foot diam semi-circle segments were hung to create a vertical gyre that draws the gaze upward. The scale of the fixture fills the lobby stairway from every direction, creating a focal point from underneath, and offers changing points of view as employees and guests ascend or descend the staircase. 

The effect creates a beautiful almost deconstructed or exploded view, similar to an architect's or engineer's drawing.
