Things you take for granted some pray for

Some people don't have basic human rights let alone food and an education. Even their days are dark, but we can moan about working a 12/hr shift when someone else would kill to have that kind of stability. That crappy apartment and McDonalds meal would be a pleasure to a homeless and starving person. We won't ever realize our blessings until it's gone, but then it's too late. because though we think its bad it could always be worse and someone in this world is living that reality of “worse”. And ever since I've become an Atheist I realize that it could've been me.
The world is random and doesn't pick favorites. I was just lucky to be born in a first world country to a lower middle class family. I always wonder if those people suffering ever wonder or search for a reason why bad fortune and pain chose them among the 7 or more billion people in this world. If you have too much food in the house; you will always feel to be full. But when there is nothing to eat in the house; hunger will hunt you like cancer in the body. This is emerging from the philosophical idea: The more successful we become the more we are bored.
This is why rich people never find happiness, no matter how much they try their best. They keep seeking for more…they don’t know when it’s time to stop and enjoy what they already have. If you have a bed to sleep on, eating your breakfast every morning, 3 meals a day then there is no doubt you are better enough than the 80% of the population of the world. In other words, you are rich in your own degree without knowing it…still you take everything for granted my friend.
After the correction is made, the sentence means- The things that are not valuable for us, are very precious for some people out there. Just like proper food and water, fine clothes and a neat and spacious house is not much appreciable by us. Someone else literally craves for these basic things. The ones having both parents with them usually don't appreciate them and treasure them, but the ones who have lost them knows the precious place they hold in their lives. Similarly, there are many things that we posses and do not value them much, while someone else prays for these things.
We are ungrateful for our privileged lives. When we exploit others for our benefit, we deny their importance in our comfortable lives. Cheap foreign labor creates fake “trade” and labor situations that hurt them and us. Taking things “for granted” means expecting things, as if we're especially entitled—in fact we fool ourselves into believing that we're more deserving than others. Bracing narcissism and in fact it's effect who's on a witch hunt—against anyone daring to try to question or fact check him. His vindictive streak is well-known, a trait common to many a brittle tyrant. —Anon. Like movie directors blaming their critics for the films’ poor attendance, so do pols excuse their own shortcomings. Given the infinite lengths adoring sycophants go to elevate their media-darling false gods (e.g., pseudo-patriotism of the dullest fabric) although called celebrities, these public figures put on godlike infallible personas, but:

In the building of life, their personal integrity is not even on a metaphorical nearby-floor to that of their stratospherically-inflated fragile male egos. In sum, deflecting blame onto others is a cowardly move. Typical of those for whom spine means the binding of a book, and character means a fictional role cast in a theatrical production. Imagine yourself like this when you wake up tomorrow. You are blind and you can't see anything beautiful. You can't see those beautiful roses anymore. You can only smell their fragrance. You can't see the rain drops anymore but the sweet smell of rain lingers longer. You can hear everything people say but you can no longer see how they react. You can't see how your kids grow up and you don't see your wife aging gracefully. You can't see the laugh on your dad's face when his favourite team wins the match. You can't see the smile on your mom's face when she has baked the perfect cake.
Now you can imagine hundreds of other such situations which matter to us. Take away one critical aspect from these situations. You're blind — you're deaf — you’re dumb — you're homeless — uncared — so on, any one important thing which leads to a permanent hole in our small world. That's when you will learn that life can't be taken for granted. Because we have to be grateful to be waking up from our sleep everyday. Everyday is your present. Be happy that you are alive and you could wake up.
Next, imagine that one night, you sleep and will not be able to wake up forever. What would the consequences be? List out(or a mental note) all of them regularly especially right after you wake up. Imagine every little detail without you starting from your family, then friends, your regular acquaintances, people who are dependent on you (emotionally as well) and how their lives would be without you. Answer to yourself questions like: How are people going to talk about you after you’re gone? Do you leave behind a mark? Do you have a legacy? Will you be proud of your achievements till that moment? Will everyone be proud of them? What are some things you wish you could do and things you wish you didn’t do? And then after finishing this process, go start your day. You are sure to have a change in your attitude towards your life and how you see other people’s lives. Every person has his own war. Cheers!
