Things to take out of your vocabulary...

"That's not my job..."

Someone I admire said on a phone call today, "I've never once said that statement in my career" and I thought you know, that's probably why every executive in her company (you'd know it), wants her to work for them.

She's humble and will tackle anything you throw her way and the executive team of her company knows it.

That's the type of mindset that's gotten her to 20+ years with the same company. When twice her employer was purchased they kept her on.

A lot of us can't say that because we operate in the what's in it for us mindset. She's operated with a different mindset - taking care of problems for people and now they want her around all the time because she makes their lives and jobs easier.

Her peers call her for advice and she willingly gives it to them, she makes them better too.

These are the types of people that successful organizations employ.
