Things to take care of when you are creating an app for your business

Being an IT person at the core of my heart and a professional developer, I find this Edison quote so relatable all the time.
I’ve got a lot of clients who come to me with product requirement that is merely an idea believed upon. I plead guilty to the fact that in my initial years as a developer, even I had committed the mistake of accepting their requirements and creating a product out of it. Please don’t judge me. We have all been there at that rookie level, making such na?ve ‘rookie’ mistakes.
It was only after a year or two that I started questioning if most of these clients had a clear vision of what they were to do. We knew that there was a problem in the system. But we were clueless about the solution and so we started filtering out clients. The idea worked and we only entertained clients with proper and planned proposals. The only drawback is that we started losing a lot of potential clients with great ideas only because they were clueless regarding their requirements from us. After all, being an app development company we were to guide our clients and not the other way round.
So, how? How do we guide our clients in building an ideal application?
To get the right answer one needs to ask the right question.
